Vietnam Childhood and Health (Vinaes) is a non-profit making organization founded in 2007 by five volunteer friends sharing a good knowledge of the country. It aims to be a pioneer in remote and difficult to access communities. Three of them back onto the Chinese or Laotian border. Vinaes does not owe allegiance to any Vietnamese authority.

Its activities immediately took off with the help of two very old friends of one of the founders, known for their activities in favor of ethnic minorities aimed at equipping schools with school books, popular works, and creating libraries in cultural centers all over the country, with funds from a Swedish NGO for more than a decade.

Aim

Undertake all humanitarian actions in Vietnam in the medical, educational, cultural and professional fields in favor of underprivileged and disabled children, in particular by providing them with all food or housing assistance

In 2014, Vinaes noted that before being classified among the 62 poorest districts of the country by the National Assembly, five of them had already been equipped with six schools with the subsidies of the sponsors of Vinaes.

Vinaes is represented on site by young workers in the private sector to design the plans and execute the projects initiated by the school boards with the approval of the local authorities. Vinaes also relies on the occasional participation of young volunteers.
